NHL Awards 2012 Results: Nominees, Winners and Results from Las Vegas

On Wednesday night, the biggest and brightest stars in hockey will walk the red carpet and head to the annual NHL Awards in Las Vegas.

Here, the league will hand out awards for the past season, including the Hart Trophy for league MVP, the Norris Trophy for the league's best defenseman and the Vezina Trophy for the top goalie in hockey.

Masterton Trophy up now. Nominees are:

Daniel Afredsson, Ottawa

Joffrey Lupul, Toronto

Max Pacioretty, Montreal



All three nominees play for Canadian-based teams.

The winner is: Max Pacioretty.Kevin Connolly of "Entourage" is here to announce the Selke Award for best defensive forward. He is also a big Isles fan.

Nominees are:

David Backes, St. Louis

Pavel Datsyuk, Detroit

Patrice Bergeron, BostonTime for the EA Sports cover announcement. The finalists are Claude Giroux and Pekka Rinne. I think Giroux is the favorite because he plays in a bigger hockey market. Steven Stamkos, last year's winner, here as well to pass the baton.

The winner is: Claude GirouxGM of the Year is up next.

Doug Armstrong, St. Louis



The winner is: Doug Armstrong of St. Louis

This is a surprise to me. Congrats to Armstrong who helped build the Blues into the 2nd best team in the Western Conference during this season.
