Jeremy Lin - Knicks Win Vs Cav 2/29/2012

The Knicks complete the fast break with Amar'e stoudemire slamming it home with two hands
LIKE,FAVORITE and SHARE this video!Jeremy Lin had 19 points and 13 assists, Carmelo Anthony scored 22 and the New York Knicks turned around the game with their reserves to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 120-103 on Wednesday night.

Steve Novak had 17 points off the bench as the Knicks turned a 17-point deficit into an easy win, outscoring the Cavs 71-42 in the second half. They capped a 10-5 month, their first 10-win February since going 10-3 in 1996-97.

The Knicks didn't lead until Novak made consecutive 3-pointers to put them up 75-74 with 2:52 left in the third quarter, then dominated the fourth quarter to send the Cavs to their third straight loss.

Antawn Jamison had 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers, beaten at home by Boston on Tuesday, giving them losses on consecutive nights to two of the teams within reach for a playoff spot.

Kyrie Irving had 22 points and seven assists.

The interesting point guard matchup between the No. 1 pick and the guy who wasn't picked was about even. Irving seems headed toward the Rookie of the Year award and has led the Cavaliers into playoff contention, but he and most of the rest of the NBA have been obscured by the player he said has "been on ESPN every single day."

Irving seemed to have little interest in discussing Linsanity. He said he didn't really speak to Lin when they both played in the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday at the All-Star game and repeated the same basic answer when asked about his counterpart, saying Lin was a great story, great point guard, and was leading the Knicks to wins.

Arsenal Fc 5 - 2 Tottenham Hotspur Second Goal "Van Persie 43'mn

More on the penalty. "Am I the only one who can clearly see Gibbs clip Bale?" says Russell Courts. Here's the crux of the matter: Bale definitely wasn't touched by Szczesny, but he might have been by Gibbs - only, it was impossible to tell. Bale certainly played for it, and in real time, I suspect that Mike Dean wasn't entirely sure what happened and assumed he'd been fouled, which is why he didn't send off Szczesny.

Here's a debate for you. "Penalties are silly, aren't they?" says Paul Szabo. "How often is a 'clear goalscoring opportunity' actually converted in open play? A lot less often than the resulting penalties are made. Another example of football's crap feature of the punishment not fitting the crime (red cards meaning one man down, not just the one man out). So there."

There's something in this. Should a penalty be awarded when, for example, someone's going away from goal or taking the ball out of the area, and every defender is in the box? I wrote about the last-man rule here two years ago. Have a read and see what you think.

Half time emails.

"Clearly Harry is a genius at getting the best out of wayward and "has been" players (Saha and Adebayor)," says Simon Reece. "What chance a recall for Stan Bowles for the Euros?"

"That dive will have took some value from Bale's transfer fee - he'll only be worth £150 million now," says John Reid.

Chelsea vs Bolton Full match highlights 3-0 - All goals

A vintage display from Frank Lampard temporarily lifted the pressure on under-fire boss Andre Villas-Boas in front of observant and twitchy owner Roman Abramovich.

Early reports had already suggested that an indifferent result could bring AVB’s reign to a swift end after a disappointing result against Napoli in the Champions League.

Although the first half, dominated by Chelsea, passed by without a goal, three second-half strikes ensured Abramovich’s mood lifted and AVB lived to fight another day.

“The pressure has been on the team to get results. Our run recently has not been impressive,” said Villas-Boas.

Manchester City vs Blackburn 3-0 25/02/12

Manchester City vs. Blackburn Rovers 3-0 All Goals and Highlights Premier League- 02/25/12FULL TIME Manchester City 3 Blackburn Rovers 0 Steve Kean sent his Rovers team out with no ambition at all, and they never remotely looked like unsettling City. Mancini's team were just too good, the forward players switching positions regularly, their movement and probing mesmerising. Paul Robinson kept it down to 1-0 at half-time with Blackburn hoping to stay within one goal and then maybe fluke one late on. But then a horrible goalkeeping error by Robinson at the start of the second half ended the match as a contest. A canter for City, anything other than defeat was always most unlikely for Blackburn, and they never played like they thought they had a chance. They'll just hope they can raise their game against the teams they have realistic chances of beating. Thanks for following it with us and goodnight.
90+ mins: Problem for Rovers is that these City subs have points to prove: Milner looking very dangerous, as is Dzeko, but there's no further damage.
90 mins: We are having three minutes of extra time.
89 mins: This will be City's 13th home win of the season. Silva has the ball in the area. Can he cap a Man of the Match performance with a goal? No, delays too long and his shot is straight at Robbo. Who saves it, I should add. Not a given, after that goalkeeping blunder earlier....
86 mins: Maybe time for one more? Kolarov's free down the left yet again, but he drills it into the side-netting.
81 mins: Yaya Toure picks up his latest minor bump and Mancini decides to take him off before he gets hurt. James Milner on instead.
80 mins: Kean's only consideration now, as I think it might have been since the first goal in all honesty, is not taking a big hit in the goal difference wallet. His tactics would suggest that he had written this match off before a ball was kicked. Would he have taken 3-0 before kick-off? Maybe.

Osasuna stuns Barcelona 3-2

A questionable first-team, a frozen pitch, and an inspired opposition contributed to Barcelona's 3-2 defeat at Osasuna at the Estadio Reyna de Navarra on Saturday evening as the Catalans now risk falling 10 points behind leaders Real Madrid by the end of the weekend.

A first-half brace by Dejan Lekic gave Osasuna a magical start. The second period saw a flurry of goals as Alexis Sanchez reduced the deficit, only for Raul Garcia to restore a two-goal cushion. Cristian Tello made it 3-2, but Barcelona could not complete the comeback. Barcelona’s reign as Spanish League champions was put in jeopardy on Saturday by a 3-2 meltdown at lively Osasuna.

The shock defeat leaves the world champions seven points behind runaway leaders Real Madrid, who will go 10 points clear if they manage to beat fourth-placed Levante at home on Sunday.

It was Barca’s second league defeat. They have dropped 16 points on their travels this season. They looked tired mentally and physically, as a result of their cup exertions on Wednesday against Valencia.

Sunderland 1 – 2 Arsenal: Super Subs to the Rescue

Arsenal traveled to the Stadium of Light in Sunderland today to take on a solid Black Cats side on a tricky away pitch, and for 69 minutes, it was pretty dour. A horrible non-contact injury to Per Mertesacker allowed James McClean in on goal, and he made no mistake. Things looked bleak for the Gunners, who really needed consistency, but substitutes Aaron Ramsey, Andrei Arshavin, and Thierry Henry pulled the game back from the brink to give Arsenal all three points and move the club into fourth place, at least for a couple of hours.Arsenal came from a goal down to secure a vital 2-1 victory over Sunderland on Saturday afternoon, with Thierry Henry grabbing an injury time winner.

The first half was about as poor a game as i’ve watched this season. Sunderland were unadventurous and Arsenal lacked any urgency. Not a surprise to see it 0-0 at the break.

The second half began in a more lively fashion and Arsenal were starting to find holes in the home sides 10-man defence. In fairness, the Black Cats began to push forward as well and Szczesny was forced in to a couple of good saves.Arsenal traveled north to face a Sunderland club that has seen a resurgence since installing Martin O’Neil as their manager and it took a two late goal by impact substitutes to come away with the three points. Keep reading for all the glorious heart-stopping action. Arsenal fell behind after defender Per Mertesacker injured himself in trying to control the ball, with James McClean firing a shot past Wojciech Szczesny.

Mertersacker was carried off but his replacement Aaron Ramsey then directed a shot past Simon Mignolet.

But on-loan Henry, who returns to the New York Red Bulls next week, stylishly volleyed past Mignolet to grab the win.
